Collections/ Projects
A collection/project is a curated assembly of clips that can be added manually by the end user into the timeline that can then be saved and/or exported.
Editing Clips
When a user finds the clips of interest, the user can adjust the clip duration by using the clipping tool under the clip player by dragging the start and end points of the clip.
The user can select the scissors icon to get the full asset from where this clip is from and create custom clips.
Adding Clips to a collection
There are a few ways of adding a clip over to a timeline to build out your collection/project. Users can either hover over the intended clip and select the ‘Add to timeline’ icon or click ‘play’ to open the player. From there, select the ‘Add to Timeline’ icon.
Users can also select multiple clips and choose to add them to the current collection/project or to an existing collection/project or to a new collection/project by clicking on the highlighted icons.
To add clips to a new collection/project, user needs to input collection/project name and collection/project Description. To add selected clips to an existing collection/project, user can select the ‘add to existing collection/project’ radio button and then select the available collection/project from the drop down menu
Collection/Project Timeline:
The timeline bar at the bottom of the page displays all clips that are currently being added into a collection/project.
You can use the 'drag and drop' function to reorder the clips. The timeline also displays the collection/project name, duration, and number of clips in it.
Removing a clip from the collection/project timeline:
There are two ways of removing a clip from the timeline. Users can do so by right clicking the intended clip and selecting ‘Remove clip’. The second way is to play the selected clip to open up the player, then selecting the ‘Remove’.
Collection/Project & Clip Preview Panel
The preview panel allows users to play clips from search results that can be curated and added to a collection/project. Users can view the player in either the full collection/project or by individual clips.
In project view, the clips will be played in the order of the timeline. It will also display the duration, number of clips and clip level details.
In the clip view, the player will allow the user to edit the clip or the entire asset to create a custom clip. See section on editing clips above on how to edit.
